​St Columba’s School has a rich and varied history. The foundation stone for the school was laid by Archbishop James Duhig on 1st October, 1916  just two years after the opening of St.Columba's Catholic Church .  The Archbishop was successful in engaging the Good Samaritan Sisters bringing the Benedictine Values to the new school.​
