Is your child interested in chess?
Unlike many chess programs, Chess Mates emphasises fun, enjoyment, and cooperation over competition! While we teach chess, we mainly use it as a lens to teach and foster social and emotional development.
Even if they don't know how to play yet, Chess Mates could be something fun and engaging for your child. A place to meet new friends, learn new skills, and, most importantly, have fun in a social and supportive school environment!
Chess Mates run each term on a Thursday afternoon for any student in Prep - Year 6.
