St. Columba’s School is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all students. The school respects and values the dignity, self-esteem and integrity of every child and young person, based on our Christian belief that every person is made in the image of God and children and young people are entrusted to us by the love of God.
BCE and every BCE school is required under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 to develop and implement a Child and Youth Risk Management Strategy every year.
The aim of the Child and Youth Risk Management Strategy is for organisations that work with children and young people to have policies and procedures in place that create safe and supportive environments for children and young people. BCE and BCE schools already have a child focussed culture together with policies, procedures and practices that create safe and supportive environments for children and young people.
